Ultimate Freedom

In light of Pastor Matt’s message on Wednesday, God has put it on my heart to share a few things…

Freedom through Christ is our salvation. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ we are free from the bondage that sin and other earthly pleasures hold on us. This does not mean we will not be tempted, but rather it means we are no longer justified by our previous life of sin. It is our Lord Jesus Christ that justifies us… not our money, not our clothes, not our jobs, nor any sin you have ever committed. We my friends have true freedom. By putting our full trust in the Lord, our potential is limitless. Do not let your previous life of sin keep you from achieving what God has in store for you. Keep a pure heart and keep your trust in the Lord.

Many of you may get discouraged when trials and temptations sneak their way into your lives, but be encouraged. For James 1:2-4 states, 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” So basically, James is telling us to take joy in our trials and temptations! Quite the opposite of what we feel like doing isn’t it? By finding joy in our trials, we can begin maturing in our faith and start becoming the great men and women of God that our Creator desires us to be. God’s Will for you is 100x greater than anything anyone could ever imagine, just put your trust in Him and continue to build your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Many of us have trouble handing complete control of our lives over to God because it can be scary to feel like we don’t have control over our own life or our own destiny. Realize this, fear does not come from the Lord. The devil is the Prince of Lies, and believe that he will do anything he can in order to keep you from the life God has in store. When doubt seeps its way into your mind, rebuke it, for the Lord is strong and steadfast in His ways. Do not be afraid to trust the Lord with your life, He loves you more than you will ever know. Give up the controls, hand over the reigns, the ride is much smoother when God is driving.

REJOICE IN YOUR FREEDOM THROUGH CHRIST!

Love you all,

Gary
